Suzuki introduces the 2003 DR-Z125 and DR-Z125L, designed with young riders in mind. The DR-Z125 is equipped with smaller tires and wheels, making it the perfect size for young, beginner off-road riders. The DR-Z125L has standard-size tires and wheels and is aimed at entry-level adult and teen riders. Both models are user-friendly, thanks to a durable, unintimidating engine, low seat height and high-grade components.

Powering the DR-Z125 models is a proven 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Built to deliver tractable power, it makes riding as easy as possible for entry-level off-road riders. A five-speed transmission utilizes a link-type gearshift for precise operation and optimum feel. Firing the little DR is a reliable CDI ignition system with ignition mapping tuned to enhance the engine’s power characteristics. An off-road-type ignition system means minimum weight and maximum reliability.

The frame and swingarm were produced specifically for the DR models and were designed for maximum strength, minimal weight and to create a compact and sturdy off-road package. Front and rear suspension assemblies provide long wheel travel and progressive action over various types of terrain. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes mounted at both ends.

In addition to the reliable and easy-to-ride nature of both DR-Z125 models, an aggressive styling treatment completes the package. Taking cues from other Suzuki off-road models, the smaller DR-Zs’ fuel tank, frame cover and radiator shrouds are reminiscent of the larger DR-Z400. Meanwhile, fenders, handlebar, number plate and seat come from the high-performance RM85. This distinctive new look is sure to appeal to off-road riders of all ages.

The 2003 Suzuki DR-Z125 and DR-Z125L – sharp styling, quality components, user-friendly nature and fine-tuned to create the perfect off-road riding experience for beginners and young riders alike.
