I'm not telling enyone they should do this, but this is what i did. From the first day i bought the Panterra 50cc for my son his biggest gripe was the ground clearence and it seemed to bottom out when he went off the smallest jumps. I looked at the X-tender but i didn't really want to spend 40 or 50 dollars to rig it with somthing that might not fit right and cause more problems. After looking at the way the shock was mounted to the front bracket it seemed obvious that if you pulled the front pin that holds the shock in the bracket and let the shock drop down out of the way the take a 3/8 inch drill bit and drill new holes about 1 inch back and about 1/2 inch higher than the two existing holes making sure the pin fits through the holes and is lined up properly then lift up on the frame from the back until the shock lines up with the new holes then put the pin through and your done. I had to remove the seat, back fender and the gas tank but the whole project took less than 30 min and it raised the fender at least 3 inches of the tire, increased ground clearence, eliminated the foot pegs dragging on sharp turns which seemed very dangerous to me and it hasn't made the bottoming out noise when he jumps since. Also it dosn't swing the arm down so far that the chain rubs, so you dont need a roller. I did have to tighten the chain a little to take up the new slack. I hope this helps anyone with this problem. It worked for us.

let me know if your posetive it'll stop the chain rubbing, because when i installed my xtender it looked fine, but when i took it down the driveway it started cutting up my swingarm. has your son been able to jump and the bike didnt slow down like the brakes were being hit?

thanks soooner

btw, if you havent yet, i strongly suggest taking the kickstand off and cutting off the little bracket for it. it gave the bike much more clearance for turns, but eliminated the kickstand, so youdd have to lean the bike on something or just put it on a milkcrate or buy a bikestand.

I had already cut the kick stand off before i lifted the bike but no i think im going to weld it back on because i dont think it would have been a problem after it is lifted. Also, so far no rubbing on the swing arm, no noise when he jumps and lands andther was always quite a bit of travel in his foot brake so it never locked up before or after the lift.

I tried Soooners modification on my son's 90 today and it seems to work just fine. It raised the seat about 2.5 inches with no chain rub but you will have to adjust the chain for slack as he stated. A fast and free modification what more could you want. Thanks for the idea Soooner.

all right guys, i did this liftkit, for my 50, i really think this mod is great so far. i havent taken the bike out for a ride, but so far it seems to lift it up about 3 inches, and there seems to be no chain interference with the swingarm. it also means that theres no need for a chain roller. ill tell you guys full details tomorrowon how it works out.

That is the best mod you can do to your 50 or 90, i rode mine for about a hour in some pretty wet stuff. there was a ditch that i use to go at fast and when id hit the incline it would seem like the suspension would bottom out, and the bike would slow down, today i hit the same ditch and not only it DIDNT bottom out, i jumped it. i also hit some more hard inclines and it went up it like my 125! i also noticed that it made it easier to wheelie the bike. the bike gained more ground clearance since the the shock is kind of angled more, so it pushes the swingarm down. it also made the bike easier to handle. Im very impressed with this mod and very thankful that soooner gave all that mod, its a great thing to do and i suggest everyone should do it.

100cc is fast, but if you got a 90, youll either beat him, or be right on his ass,but it doesnt go 70, and with a pipe you should have a good chance, i ride a 50cc from panterra and i smoke my buddy who rides a 110, and this is in mud so he has more power than i do.

Try for fourth (4th) gear. So far all of the 50cc bikes in our area from Pep Boyz have four gears even though the manual says three gears. My neighbor was thrilled when we brought this to his attention.

i did the same thing to my 90 but i raised it alot higher and my chain does rub but it can only cut the swing arm down so far cause i have been riding mine like that for weeks and once it cuts at it so far it doesnt go anyfurther... that is just my prediction. who knows maybe it will mess it up but i really dont see that happening
