Here are pictures that may help people out when uncorking a 650L that isn't a california model. These pics are from an 06.
 The line hooked to the nipple on the front of the carb hooks to the little diaphragm on the other side of the carb when desmogged. The line that says to smog pump can be removed.
 This just shows the line that goes to the carb and is removed once the smog pump in gone.
 This is the diaphragm on the right side. This vacuum line just runs to the nipple on the front of the carb when desmogged.
 This is the airbox lines. I left the charcoal/vapor canister intact. I used one of the plugs in the smog kit to block the bottom line that would run to the smog pump.
Hope this helps, and correct me if I am wrong I took these pictures well over a year ago and am doing this all by memory now. |

| Hope I can find some written instructions. Just bought my '08 and anxious to do a few inexpensive things to let it run a little more freely. |

The desmog won't do anything for performance- just removes weight and the popping noise thru the exhaust.
