I just had my fork seals replaced by the Suzuki dealer with moose seals and 4 days after the very next ride the left fork leaked bad, What could cause this? also would it be worth it to by a seal driver and do the job my self next time?

1996 Suzuki DR-350se - k&n filter, jet kit, supertrapp IDS2 race series exhaust with 14 disks, air box mods, port & polish, exhaust mods increased air flow, iridium spark plug, 14 tooth front sprocket & 44 rear, custom license plate bracket

Moved topic to suspension related forum.

Could be something lodged under the seal, a chip in the fork tube, or a slight chance something happened with the seal job. I'd call the dealer back since it happened so close to the seal job.

I had my local Suzuki dealer replace my fork seals with moose seals they leaked the first ride I wondered if they messed up some how so I replaced the seals my self with Suzuki seals I took my time to make sure every thing was clean and in good visible shape and they leaked the first ride also

does anybody know whats wrong with the forks/seals???

Could you be overfilling the oil? What caused them to leak in the first place. If there is a nick in the fork tube somewhere that hasn't been fixed, it could be the culprit and continuously cause the seals to leak. I would inspect your fork tube in the seal travel area and look for nicks. If you find some, use either really fine wet sand paper, like 1000 grit, or use some scotch brite to just smooth out the area around the nick, so there are no high spots to cause the seal to leak.

I have looked very carefully at the seal travel area it all looks OK I even used digital calipers to measure it in many places, I may have over filled the forks can any one tell me the oil level in the forks, the bike is kind of dangerous to ride the handle bares twist when i go off a little ledge and front brakes hardly work. pleas help me fix problem. thanks b king
