Universal swing arm decal challenge;
Who here on 4strokes can design a swing arm decal
First; we must know the average size so list what would fit you bike here(ATV guys' just say what size would work for you). - Topic: Swinger Arm Sticker Size List
Second; we must come up with a design that is simple and eye catching. List you ideas here on this thread.
Third; the design must be in good taste so as to be approved by Admin.
Thanks JR |

How about "4Strokes.com" with a horizontal and slanted lightning bolt through it?
Most of all the web site address must be seen. CLEARLY! I don't want to say anything else yet at least someone smarter then me comes up with a better idea. |

Here's your decal. Plain. Simple. Readible. And easy to re-size for different parts of your bike (swing-arm, number plate, etc).
You could even have them made in different colors to coordinate to the bike manufacturer. I had some XR650L decals made in reflective red for my swingarm and they look great (plus they add a little safety factor at night!)
I had some single color decals made for another web-site a few years ago and they were about $2 each in bulk (200 decals).
It doesn't have to be fancy to be cool!

Here is an idea................I don't know how much the vinyl is, but I have access to a vinyl cutter that I can use if I supply my own materials. Once again this is an idea so far and an idea only............still waiting on admins reply to it. With times being tough and its not looking like things will get better anytime soon, what if we gave these decals away to people who donate to the site. My initial suggestion was to ask for a $25 or so donation and folks would get a free swing arm decal set similar to what AK7 posted. Nothing fancy, but this would keep the costs minimal and that way the site would benifit from the donations.
Starting out is where the major cost would be. I have no clue as to how much a roll of vinyl costs, but it wouldn't take much to do this. I would be happy to do those stickers listed above, I would just have to double check that it was still ok to use the cutter. I would do this so that the majority of the cost of the vinyl purchase was covered and that the site would benifit from this.
Once again this was just an idea I had. Right now I have alot going on, but by the middle of next month I would be able to start in on this project, if everyone likes this idea.
One last thing, the nice thing about doing them one at a time is that they could be custom made to fit, instead of a standard size. |

You can cut something like AK7 posted? And are willing to donate your time(that alone is worth a lot). Then a Admin this is the most cost effect way to go. |

Here's another option:
Figure out the cost of the decal and round it up by $1 or so. Then that could go to the site.
For instance, if each decal costs $2.38 cents to make, charge $3 or $4 for the decal. Then the site would get $.62 or $1.62 for each sale.
Just a thought... Doug |

Admin, The 4Strokes.com on the black or white background at 2" x 10" are perfect. Lil_mynx told me that if the Yamaha decals were grey instead of blue she'd like those.
However when are you going to set up a paypal account for this? I would like to make a donation. If this doesn't work out I have no problem if the money raised went to the site to help others like myself. |
