I have a chance to buy a 85 xr600. It supposedly has white bros shock and USD forks. My question is did white bros make a suspension kit back in the day or are these rebranded showas or ?? I did a web search and only came up with white bros has merged with vance & hines. any info will be greatly appriciated. thanks,

They probably redid the suspension. I do not believe that they custom made the shock and forks.

Bikes can be modified but only one can be Thumpified, Nicely Thumpified 98 XR450 - This is how I roll in OR & in ID

The shock is definatley not honda, its a beefy unit, hard anodized, and the res fits in the normal spot but doesnt look like a showa unit. The forks have custom triple clamps with rubber mounted bars. Im gonna try to get some pics by the weekend

THey probably sold someone elses hardware with their name on it. No uncommon. I think I remember them offering suspension setups.
