Please advise as a numpkin on auto electrics!

Headlight runs from motor only ie. goes out when engine is switched off...also dims and pulses at low revs.
Break light works as normal whether motor is running or not.
Indicators have stopped working.

Is this a regulator rectifier problem and if so, which one?

Also have lost my XL600R PDF file when hard disk failed...anyone have a copy?

In looking at the wiring diagram, I would first check all connections including grounds. Then make sure the battery and positive lead fuse are good. Lastly I would suspect the 'Rectifier with Regulator' because it powers both the headlight and turn signals.
