I have an XL600 in the garage and the only mod at present is the desert tank and the Supertrapp pipe it came with. I'm interested in any changes that will get it "going," as it's been in the garage for several years (I'm attached to it). I've heard that dumping the dual carb for a single makes a big difference, but requires a new intake. Any suggestions? How did you find someone to work on the motor? Most Honda dealers tell me it's too old.

I see this is old but i was curious why you went with a different bottom end when you already had a new hotrod? Did you rebuild the other bottom end too?
