Anybody have a device that will allow you to give your hand a rest? I need something so my hand doesn't fall asleep.

there are three or four designs out there depending on what bike your putting it on,
its up to you to decide which kind you want, I have one on my bike, If I get a chance I will try to post up a picture of it seeing how I don't remember the manufacture.

07 XR650L - Northern California, elevation 300' - UNI filter,Clark 4.7 tank w/support, Vapor computer, MT21 rear tire, Cheng Shin Surge-I front tire, fork brace, EBC 320mm front rotor.

Throttle Rocker is one, which allows you to use the palm of your hand resting on the lip as "cruise control." The other very popular style is the bar end, called throttle meister. There operate as you rotate the bar end and it applies force to the end of the throttle tube. The best kind for a 650L in my opinion is a similar bar end Kaoko Throttle Lock, which would would for a hollow bar with no threaded bar end as the attachment utilizes a clamp style expansion like a wrap around hand guard system.

Hope this helps!

Quick question about the Kaoko throttle lock: I have a stock XR650L and was looking to get the Kaoko throttle lock. Their website specifies a bar ID of 14mm, but does not say that it will fit the stock application. I am not sure of the ID of the bar on the 650L. Did you install the Kaoko on your stock bar, and if so what was the part number?

Thanks,

2006 XR650L - Dave's mods, 55/160, K&N airfilter.

I used to have the Vista Universal kit on my bike for those long street trips. Have to make sure it nice and tight when mounted, at first mine would vibrate the lock loose so I would have to reset the speed and give it another go. Once it was nice and tight, I would ride from San Diego to Santa Barbra with comfort. Real nice when you have an oversized tank like I have on those nice long trips. One fill up for one way.
