Has any one taken the rivits out of this petcock and replaced the gasket? if so what crosses over to this exsisting gasket. I can't seem to find a replacement.

I know that the rivets can be drilled and replaced with 4 or 5 mm screws. You might try the petcock o-ring shown in this article. I have a similar problem to solve on an '84 XR500R. The part should only be around $3.00. Let us know if it works.
