My 06 CRF 450X mods in order of importance:
- Dubach Racing Stainless Steel Exhaust- Should've done this right off the bat, but waited about 3 months. Got about 10% HP mostly on the low end. Man, what a difference! Also did all the associated jetting and air kit mods.
- Stage 1 hot cam. Gave me about another 5-8% HP on the lower end.
- Scotts Stabilizer (sub-mount). Great for the desert, which is where I mostly ride, I keep it backed off 5 clicks, but less than that on the tight stuff.
- Because I sub-mounted the stabilizer, I went with Moose Racing Bars, and brought them up a tad when we installed it.
- Aceribs Pro Hand Guards.
- White Brothers skid plate.
- UFO White Plastics all around, and painted the plastics just below the seat. Seat is still black, but I'm about to replace that as well. Something about having a white bike at least makes me "think" I'm staying cooler when I'm riding in 105 degree heat.
What's next: - Baja Designs lighting kit 80 Watts up front so I can do some serious riding at night. - New soft foam seat (probably go with Guts racing). |

I just bought a new 2008 CRF450X about a month ago. Traded the BRP in on it. Bike is off the hook. I've never had one of the new 4 strokes so it's pretty impressive. So far the only mods are JD jet kit, 165 main, red needle on 4th groove and adjustable fuel screw, opened up the airbox on the sides and did the jb weld smog block off.

ive got a CRF 70F which i picked up for £20. as far as i no, its all factory set. but not 100% sure. it came with NO air filter. (would this cause any problems for me?) i took the end cap of the exhaust off as i want to deristrict the whole bike. if i have this right, their should be a cap on the back of the end cap. i dont have one. (would this affect me? what would happen?) i want it to sound loud, mean and i want it to go faster than the standard 40MPH. just gota sort the transmission out now. some lighter rollers and a stronger spring. can anyone give me some insight to this bike as i have no idea what im doing lmao.
thanks |
