4Strokes.com Honda XL350-650 Images: 1984 XL350R
This is a pic of my 350 that I just bought recently for $200. It had 4000 mi on it with all new valves on the top-end. All I had to do was adjust the valves, install a few loose items, and change the oil and filter. The bike sat for 8 years in the owner’s basement waiting to be finished. Now it’s mine! Thank the Honda gods!

6/9/2006 by Sick PuppyIMHO, this particular year/model may have been the perfect dual-purpose bike. Both the physical size and engine displacement made it perfect for multiple applications and for the average size rider. If you ever decide to sell, LET ME KNOW!!!
6/9/2006 by HutchPassenger pegs on the swingarm. That would get old, fast.
6/10/2006 by pigrondthe pegs havent bothered me yet and there not heavy enough to make a good weight reduction so for now i call them wheely pegs
12/29/2006 by xl600I agree with Sick Puppy. I had the exact same bike and it was one of my favorites. Brings back alot of good memories.

12/24/2007 by NighthawkerI am in limbo about picking up one of these bikes. I currently have a 1983 Nighthawk 650 with no title that doesn't run, and a perfectly good 1991 CR125 that I love to death. I also own an XR100 that I don't use too often. My dilemma is I am considering selling/parting out the Nighthawk and picking up the XL. The XL350R I am looking at has a clear NJ title, it is currently registered in NJ, and is completely street legal. I am not sure what to do. (Forum Topic: 1984 XL350R vs 1983 Nighthawk 650)
10/1/2009 9:08:15 AM by jimmyI have the exact same bike. I love it! My dad bought it for 100 bucks back in 1990. It runs great but smoked a little. I put some STP in it and that cured the problem.
8/11/2010 7:52:31 PM by Adam Y.Bike looks good. My 1984 Honda XL350R has only 1,400 miles on it. I have put a lot of work into the bike. Had it rebuilt about 2 years ago. Awesome power and light enough to muscle around in rocky woods. XL350Rs love hills.
8/16/2010 3:12:30 PM by NegativeI've got the same bike. I pulled it apart in 2001 to restore and repaint it, and it has been sitting in piles under my workbench since then. I LOVED riding this thing, and it was one of the most fun bikes I've even played with. Big, heavy, comfy, and a 4-stroke. It's like driving a diesel pickup (I've got one of those, too) through the woods. It handles whoops with ease, and has a HUGE bottom-end (kinda like my wife), so it pulls like crazy. One day, I'll put it back together and ride again.
