3/12/2004 by motohead - What year CR frame, I have a 1990 CR125 and a 2003 XR200, kind of makes me think????

3/13/2004 by mmgtl - I can do that What about the rear motor mount What did you use to space the swing arm pivot bolt and bearings. Thanks Meredith

3/14/2004 by Kiwiracer - 1990 CR125,just a alloy spacer for the swing arm pivot, shock has to be turned 180,righthand downtube cut to make way for XR carb, Insert made for airbox snorkel.

4/20/2005 by Scuzzleb - Hi, GREAT conversion! did you add extention tubes to the frame? or is that an entirely new bottom motor mount?

5/21/2005 by Craig Maskell - Bought a XR200 97 over the net Didn't realise that this model was a farmers version and is lower Been told the only difference is the rear shock. It can be replaced for an older model to increase the height?

3/18/2008 by trevor - Yeh the 1987 xr200 has a lot bigger front and back like 3 linches and it bolts right on

7/8/2008 by bubbagump - How did you cut down the gas tank and seem it back together?

4/7/2009 4:15:03 PM by 83 XR200R - Hi, I have a 200 with the suspension from the pumped up model but the extra height in the rear gave me a big chain-tension prob and it seems more sensible to get the CR and do the conversion than put more time and $$ into a non-motocross chassis. So I'm looking for a cheep blown-up CR donor, will spend up to $400 for good cond. But would find a good project for around $200-ish, any hints, links or bikes would be great. Oh and I'm in Nor Cal, South of Eureka.

8/9/2010 7:28:02 PM by Kiwiracer - Been ages since I have seen this. The frame had a whole new cradle made. The right side had to have a new tube made to clear the airbox snorkel, as the XRs run their carburetor on the opposite side. You just spin the shock 180 degrees and that clears everything. The arrows point to where the new tubes are welded. I sold this bike many moons ago. I wonder if it's still running?
