Battery relocation mod for the XR650L. There was no cost to me to do this mod because I already had zip-ties and the rubber battery cover was extra material left over from a house re-shingle. All other parts reused from the bike.

Addition to Mod: This is an idea for this mod. I'm thinking of putting a storage box of some sorts where the factory battery box was. I was thinking of getting a 4" diameter PVC pipe with a screw-on cap. It could store stuff like tools, extra tubes, and other junk. Or perhaps reuse the old/empty battery box from the battery relocation mod above. It already has the mounting brackets built in. Either way cost would be next to nothing.
