4Strokes.com Technical: Registration Decal Saver
If
you live in California or any other state where registration decals are required
and you have to place it on the fork tube, here's a nifty idea that allows removal
and re-installation of your the decal without damage. Go down to your local
hardware store and buy a fluorescent light bulb safety guard. They are very
inexpensive and the tubes are Clear UV stabilized so they won't turn yellow.
Directions: Cut a section equal to the length between the top and bottom triple-clamps or the width of the decal. Apply your registration decal to the tube section. Slit the tube lengthwise and slip it on the fork. That's it!
This clear tubing can be used for numerous other things like fork guards, crossbar pad map holder, etc. You're only limited by your imagination!
