Yamaha WR250F Cold Starting Procedure by 250f canuck
  1. Turn on the choke.

  2. Give it 2-3 shots of gas by cracking the throttle wide open. This causes the accelerator pump to squirt gas into the carburetor bore.

  3. Then use the kick-starter lever to ease the engine to top dead center (TDC). This is where it gets a little harder to move.

  4. Then bring the lever back up to the top of the stroke and jump on it hard. Make sure you kick all the way through the stroke. If you are of shorter stature, it helps to have something to stand up on under your left foot. You will get a bit more leverage this way.

  5. Shut the choke off after the bike has been running for about 30-seconds.
